María Rosa Muñoz B. is a Senior Researcher at Wuppertal Institut für Klima, Umwelt, Energie gGmbH since March 2018, focusing on projects related to urban pathways, environmental protection, and integrated urban electric mobility. Prior experience includes an internship at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, where work centered on financing energy for low-carbon investments, and a role as a student researcher at URBAN CATALYST studio, developing methodologies for urban indicators in relation to the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. From 2011 to 2015, María Rosa conducted extensive research on urban development as a research analyst at Instituto de la Ciudad, coordinating various projects and publications. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Urban Management from Technische Universität Berlin and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and Université Grenoble Alpes, along with studies at Universität Passau.
