Matthew Peddie

Matt Peddie is an experienced journalist and radio host currently serving as a Radio Host for WUSF Public Media since April 2022. Prior to this role, Matt has been a freelance journalist for NPR since 2012 and worked extensively at 90.7 WMFE | 89.5 WMFV, where Matt was the Assistant News Director and host of the news show Intersection from February 2012 to April 2022. Matt's career includes significant positions as a journalist for Transportation Nation and Radio New Zealand, covering major events such as the 2010 Canterbury earthquake and the Pike River mine disaster. Matt's educational background includes a Master's degree in Journalism from Western University, as well as teaching qualifications in English and French from Christchurch College of Education and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Canterbury.
