Emily Files

Emily Files is currently an Editor and Special Projects Leader at WUWM 89.7 FM - Milwaukee Public Radio, a position held since 2024. They have four years of experience in Alaska public radio newsrooms, including a year as news director at KHNS Radio, where they led news coverage and produced daily newscasts. Additionally, Emily has interned at notable organizations such as NPR and The Boston Globe and has contributed stories to Marketplace, NPR’s Only A Game, and PRI’s The World. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Emerson College, earned in 2013.
