Duan Liu

Duan Liu is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in research and development within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Chemistry in the Research Service Division at WuXi AppTec since February 2014, Duan Liu has progressed through various roles, including Senior Director and Director. Previous experience includes a tenure at Merck as an Associate Principal Scientist, where contributions were made in immunology and oncology programs, co-authoring a patent and managing API supply. Prior to Merck, Duan Liu held a Senior Scientist position at Schering-Plough Research Institute, contributing to oncology and HCV lead optimization and co-authoring multiple patents. Duan Liu's educational background includes postdoctoral research at Harvard University and a Ph.D. from Penn State University, with earlier studies at Nankai University.
