Tern Liew

Tern Liew is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries with extensive experience in technical operations, R&D, and production. Currently serving as Executive Director and Head of Technical Operations at WuXi AppTec since October 2021, Tern oversees tech transfer, validation, and GMP commercial production. Previous roles include Site Manager at Olon Ricerca Bioscience, Director of Production at Bachem, and various leadership positions at Topwin Pharma Group and Fangyuan Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities encompassed process development and GMP manufacturing for small molecules. Tern co-founded Inno Therapeutics and has a strong background in R&D and manufacturing operations, having worked as a Senior Manager of R&D and a Scientist in earlier career phases. Tern holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Purdue University.
