Yurun Zhang

Yurun Zhang is a Senior Scientist in Discovery Biology at WuXi AppTec, with previous experience as a Research Scientist in Global Translational Science at Varian. At Varian, Yurun Zhang contributed to the development of drug-radiotherapy combinations, established a bulk RNA-sequencing laboratory, and co-managed the FLASH biology program, collaborating with external investigators. Prior research experience includes designing small-molecule screening studies at UCLA, assessing therapeutic potentials of PTP-sigma inhibitors, and examining hematopoietic regeneration. Yurun Zhang holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from UCLA and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
