Naresh Babu Sama

Naresh Babu Sama is an experienced biopharmaceutical professional currently serving as the Head of Drug Substance Tech Transfers & Process Validation at WuXi Biologics since September 2019, where scientific and technical leadership is provided for technology transfers and process validations at a green field site. Previously, Naresh held the position of Director of MSAT, successfully leading PPQ campaigns including a significant Covid vaccine initiative. Naresh's tenure at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories spans various roles including Associate Director and Group Lead, where substantial yield improvements in biosimilars were achieved. Earlier experience includes leading drug substance manufacturing at Intas Pharmaceuticals and significant contributions to cell culture process development over multiple positions at Dr. Reddy's. An educational background in Biotechnology (M.Tech) and Chemical Engineering (B.Tech, Diploma) from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University underpins Naresh's expertise in the field.
