Yuan Chang

Yuan Chang is an accomplished biopharmaceutical professional with extensive experience in Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC). Currently serving as Executive Director and CMC Leader at WuXi Biologics since July 2023, Yuan previously held the position of Director and CMC Leader at Bristol Myers Squibb from January 2019 to July 2023, managing various CMC teams for a range of biologics and small molecules. Prior roles include Director at KBI Biopharma overseeing downstream process development, Associate Director at AstraZeneca leading multiple CMC teams for biopharmaceutical projects, and Senior Scientist at MedImmune focused on purification processes. Yuan’s career began with significant contributions at Biogen Idec, FibroGen, and Genentech, supported by a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Lanzhou Medical College.
