Larry Shen currently serves as the Chairman of the Board and Chair of the Planning Committee for the Biostatistics Symposium of Southern California, where efforts are focused on establishing BSSC as a non-profit organization to host an annual symposium in biostatistics. As Vice President of Clinical Informatics at WuXi Clinical since May 2019, Larry leads the organization in data management, statistics, and regulatory strategy consulting for biopharma clients. Previously, as President and CEO of Pharmapace from May 2014 to May 2019, Larry transformed the company into a premier consulting firm for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Larry's earlier experience includes serving as Vice President at Amylin Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca, where significant contributions to clinical trials led to multiple drug approvals, and as Senior Statistician at Procter & Gamble. Larry holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS & MS in Mathematics and Probability Theory from Beijing University.
