Karen Viaene

Stafmedewerker Participatie En Procesbegeleiding at WVI

Karen Viaene currently serves as a Stafmedewerker participatie en procesbegeleiding at WVI, a position held since September 2020, where responsibilities include designing and implementing participation processes, inspiring and training others in participation practices, and facilitating support offerings for local governments. Prior to this, from May 2008 to August 2020, Karen worked at Samenlevingsopbouw West-Vlaanderen, focusing primarily on housing and energy, coaching staff on various projects related to social housing participation, addressing energy poverty, and ensuring accessible services for newcomers. Additional experience includes coordinating campaigns and providing internal prevention advice. Karen holds two Master's degrees from Ghent University in Academische Initiële Lerarenopleiding and Sociale Agogiek - Pedagogische Wetenschappen, completed between 2002 and 2007.
