Terry Mason MD is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in public health and medical leadership. Since March 2013, Terry has served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Cook County Department of Public Health, overseeing operations related to public health and disease prevention in suburban Cook County. In addition, since October 2011, Terry has held the role of System Chief Medical Officer at Cook County Health and Hospitals System, previously serving as Interim Chief Executive Officer, managing multiple hospitals and clinics. Terry also hosts a live medical talk show, "Doctor in the House," on WVON 1690 AM, providing medical information to the public. With a background in urology as a partner at Urolpartners and prior leadership roles in the City of Chicago's Department of Public Health and Comprehensive Urology, Terry has demonstrated a commitment to improving community health through various clinical and administrative roles. Terry's educational background includes an MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago.
