WVUA 23
Nicholas Balenger currently serves as the Weekend News Anchor and Producer at WVUA 23, where responsibilities include pitching, writing, editing, and sharing news stories about the people of west Alabama. Prior experience at WVUA 23 also includes roles as a Reporting Intern, creating news packages covering local issues, severe weather, and national politics, as well as an Editing Intern, focusing on scriptwriting and editing multimedia content. Additional professional experience includes a Sales Associate position at The TJX Companies, Inc., and a role as a Contributing Writer for The Crimson White, where Nicholas covered sports for the University of Alabama's student newspaper. Nicholas also worked as a Baseball Umpire for Atlanta International, officiating youth games. Nicholas is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies at The University of Alabama, expected to graduate in 2024.

WVUA 23 is a commercial television station owned and operated by the University of Alabama's College of Communication and Information Sciences.
