Amanda Wright

Amanda Wright is a skilled data analyst currently employed at WeightWatchers since November 2021, previously holding the position of Data Analyst. Amanda's academic career includes serving as an Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of North Texas from 2009 to 2018, where significant research on plant cell division was conducted and over $1.3 million in grants, including an NSF CAREER grant, were secured. In addition to mentoring various students, Amanda communicated complex concepts through teaching and presentations. Prior to this role, Amanda was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California at San Diego from 2005 to 2009 and a Postdoctoral Scientist at Harvard University from 2003 to 2005, where research focused on plant cell division and RNA interference, respectively.
