Alex Kubasu serves as Programme Coordinator for both the Green Economy & Policy and Circular Economy Initiative at WWF-Kenya, focusing on the development and implementation of circular economy strategies aligned with national goals. With a history of involvement in various roles such as Programme Officer at HERI KENYA, Steering Committee Member for the Kenya Plastics Pact, and Vice Chairman of the Plastic Waste Management Technical Working Group in Mombasa, Alex plays a key role in promoting collaboration among stakeholders in the plastic value chain. Previous experience includes positions as a Communication Officer at WWF-Kenya and a TV Journalist at Royal Media Services. Alex holds multiple degrees in Environmental Policy, Communication Studies, and Microbiology, complemented by executive education in Circular Economy and various fellowships related to environmental governance.
