Samir Randera-Rees

Samir Randera-Rees is a seasoned conservation professional with extensive experience in project and program management within the environmental sector. Currently serving as the Nedbank Green Trust and Corporate Relations Manager at WWF South Africa, Samir oversees significant investments in innovative conservation projects. Previously, Samir managed the Water Source Areas Programme at WWF South Africa, focusing on the protection of critical water sources in South Africa. As the founder and CEO of Whispers of the Wild, Samir developed a digital safari guide business for tourists. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Business and Conservation from the African Leadership University, a Master's in Applied Ecology and Conservation from the University of East Anglia, and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and Economics from the University of Cape Town. Samir's early experience includes internships and roles involving ecological research and data collection, contributing to a strong foundation in biodiversity conservation.
