Mateus Teixeira

Vice President, Director Of Digital Publishing, Production, And Design at W. W. Norton & Company

Mateus Teixeira has a diverse work experience in digital publishing and educational technology. Mateus started their career as a Digital Production Assistant at W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. in 2013 and gradually worked their way up to become the Vice President, Director of Digital Publishing. In this role, they manage Norton's Digital Publishing group and serves as the strategy lead and product owner for Norton Ebooks and Norton Testmaker. Mateus also represents Digital Publishing in Norton's AI Strategy Group. Prior to this, Mateus held various roles at Norton, including Vice President, Product Manager, Co-Director of Norton Lab, and Ebook Department Manager.

Before joining Norton, Mateus worked as an Ebook Producer at Vook, where they designed and developed EPUBs using Open Web Platform technologies. Mateus also worked as an Assistant to the Director at the Robert Hull Fleming Museum in 2013.

Mateus has a strong educational background and conducted research in radio astronomy at the University of Vermont, focusing on decoding and modeling emission geometries of pulsars. Mateus also participated in the New York State Summer Writers Institute at Skidmore College, attending fiction writing workshops. Furthermore, they interned at the Center for Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Mateus Teixeira attended the University of Vermont from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Mateus'smajors during this time were English, Physics, and Pure Mathematics. In 2019, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance.
