Michelle Smith

Michelle Smith is an experienced media professional with a strong background in videography, video editing, and master control operations. Currently serving as a videographer and video editor at WXYZ-TV since January 2015, Michelle utilizes Final Cut Pro in this role. Previous positions include master control operator at Kgun Television and WJBK ONO Detroit, with additional experience as a TV/Film Coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where Michelle developed streamlined media duplication processes. With earlier roles encompassing technical support as a broadcast technician and EVS operator, Michelle has built a comprehensive skill set across various media platforms. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology/Trauma/Crisis from Grand Canyon University and studies in Physical Therapy at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
