Phil Townsend has a diverse work experience in the field of Information Technology and Security. Phil started their career as a Computer Tutor and Lab Monitor at Clemson University from 2000 to 2003. Phil then worked as a Computer Analyst at Square D Company for a short period in 2002. Phil assisted in technical support calls and collaborated with IT support personnel for PC replacement.

Starting from 2003, Phil joined Ogletree Deakins as a Messaging Administrator and Network Engineer. Phil maintained the Exchange 2003 infrastructure and actively monitored over 40 Exchange servers across 43 offices nationwide. Additionally, Phil contributed to Group Policy development and application deployment for firm-wide projects. Phil was also responsible for handling level 3 support calls escalated from the Help Desk and Site Support personnel. Phil'stenure at Ogletree Deakins lasted until 2011.

Phil Townsend then transitioned to Wyche, P.A. in 2011, where they served as the Director of Information Technology and Security. Phil implemented and maintained offsite backups, disaster recovery strategies, and business continuity plans. Phil also established various Information Governance policies, including an Incident Response Policy and electronic security policies. Additionally, they upgraded and expanded the storage infrastructure using SAN and NAS appliances.

Phil Townsend completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Clemson University. Phil attended the university from 1998 to 2003. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from the same institution, attending from 2008 to 2011.
