Philippe McGee

Philippe McGee has a diverse range of work experience. Philippe is currently employed at X-Chem, Inc. as a Principal Scientist, where they began in May 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the same company from September 2021 to May 2023. Before joining X-Chem, Inc., Philippe worked at IntelliSyn R&D as a Project Chemistry Leader from May 2019 to September 2021. Philippe also has experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa from November 2018 to May 2019. Philippe holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Ottawa, where they also worked as a Teaching Assistant from January 2010 to August 2016. Philippe has additional industry experience, having worked as a Medicinal Chemistry intern at Boehringer Ingelheim in 2011 and as a Research Assistant at Natural Resources Canada in 2010. Prior to their career in chemistry, Philippe served as a Manager at Club D'eau Pus from March 2003 to January 2010.

Philippe McGee has a diverse education history. Philippe first attended Cégep Félix-Leclerc from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a college diploma in Science. Philippe then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Biopharmaceutical Science at the University of Ottawa from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they completed a Master's degree in Organic chemistry at the University of Ottawa from 2012 to 2013. Philippe further expanded their knowledge and expertise by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry at the University of Ottawa, which they successfully completed from 2013 to 2017.
