David Han-Dizon has a diverse work experience in various industries. David currently works as an independent advisor, providing strategic guidance to start-ups focused on developing products that have a positive impact on humanity and the planet. Prior to this, they worked as an investor/LP at a Sand Hill Road based VC firm.
David also has experience in the renewable energy sector, where they co-founded X-SOLAR SYSTEMS and served as the Chief Product Officer. During their time there, they played a key role in the development and production ramp of solar home systems in China, overseeing product strategy, technological development, and team building.
In addition, David worked as an advisor at the Copenhagen Hardware Alliance, providing guidance on hardware-related projects, and as a climate entrepreneur at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, where they built an MVP and launched pilot projects in East Africa.
Before their entrepreneurial endeavors, David worked at Deloitte as a management consultant, specializing in technology strategy and architecture. David advised CIOs and other CxOs in developing and executing technology strategies for clients in industries such as financial services, energy, and transportation. David also served as the Danish lead for the Deloitte Global Smart City Network and worked as a business analyst, assisting with proposal development, research, data analysis, client meetings, and strategy development.
David Han-Dizon has a diverse education history. David attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where they completed an Executive Summer School program in Sustainable Business Models. David also pursued an MSc in IT Management & Business Economics at Copenhagen Business School. At DTU - Technical University of Denmark, they took part in an MSc Course on the Commercialization of high tech concepts. Additionally, David obtained a BA in Information Management from Copenhagen Business School and participated in an Exchange/BBA program at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on Business Administration & Information Systems. Prior to their higher education, David achieved their Studentereksamen with a major in Mathematics & Chemistry (first in class) at Greve Gymnasium. Furthermore, David holds various certifications such as "Selecting Startups" from VC Unlocked, "The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity" from FranklinCovey, "Certified ScrumMaster" from Scrum Alliance, "Insights For Innovation" from IDEO U, "Design Thinking for Business Innovation" from Coursera Verified Certificates, and "ITIL® V3 Foundation" from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
