Brian Adolf has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brian started out as a Contract Programmer/Engineer and Laser Analyst at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where they developed automated measurement software and won the Young Scientist Award for their work. Brian then worked at Linear Technology as a Design Engineer, leading all aspects of design and generating over $10 million in revenue. Brian also worked as an Applications Engineer at COMSOL, Inc., specializing in electromagnetic modeling and providing software technical support and consulting services. At Nifty Analysis and Design, they founded and grew a profitable technical consulting company and managed all aspects of the business. Brian later joined Solta Medical, Inc. as a Senior Simulation and Research Engineer, where they developed software for RF power generator devices and conducted research in electromagnetic and thermal finite element modeling. Brian then worked at Google as a Systems Test Engineer, and currently, they are at X, the moonshot factory, as a Founder of a stealth project and Hardware/Software Engineer. Overall, Brian has demonstrated expertise in hardware and software engineering, simulation, research, and technical consulting throughout their career.
Brian Adolf completed their undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley from 1998 to 2002. Brian earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Physics. In addition to their degrees, they obtained several certifications in various subjects such as Heterogeneous Parallel Programming, Computational Investing, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Neural Networks for Machine Learning, Networked Life, and Machine Learning through Coursera.
