Chad Talbott began their work experience as a Software Engineer at SGI in 2000, where they worked until 2003. Chad then joined Google Inc. in 2003 as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Google, Chad worked on various teams and projects, including the Platforms and Kernel Team, Google Maps Street View, Google Books Scanning Infrastructure, Google Glass, and Robotics. Chad was involved in tasks such as debugging production system crashes, monitoring network traffic and datacenter temperature and power, and developing storage configuration models. Chad also worked on Linux kernels, drivers, and the CFQ scheduler in C, as well as building and release systems using Go and Python. In 2016, Chad joined X, the moonshot factory, as a Software Engineer.
Chad Talbott studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
