Jason Prapas

Jason Prapas is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in technology development and entrepreneurial leadership. Currently serving as a Rapid Evaluator at X, The Moonshot Factory since October 2025, Jason focuses on identifying and assessing transformative "moonshot" ideas while conducting technical and techno-economic evaluations. Previously, as CEO and Founder of FYTO, Inc. from July 2019 to October 2025, Jason pioneered innovative nutrient-recycling solutions. Jason also held roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as Translational Research Director and at Factor[e] Ventures as Chief Technology Officer and Cofounder, emphasizing the intersection of technology and social impact. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and Tufts University, respectively, along with a BS in Physics from Brandeis University.
