Jon Gold

Jon Gold is a seasoned professional currently serving as Managing Director at X, the moonshot factory since October 2023. Previously, Jon Gold held multiple leadership roles at Google from December 2009 to October 2023, including Managing Director of Platforms and Ecosystems Partnership Strategy, where plans were developed to enhance the Android ecosystem. Jon Gold also spearheaded the Android One Business Development, achieving significant global phone activations and serving as the public face for the product. Other roles at Google included Finance Director and Sr Finance Manager for Android, focusing on financial strategies that facilitated partnerships and drove product monetization. Jon Gold's earlier experience includes a position in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs and a Six Sigma Blackbelt role at General Electric. Jon Gold earned an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
