Sara Uceda's work experience began in 2017 as a Marine Project Engineer at Teignbridge Propellers Ltd. Int. where they studied and analyzed propeller geometry, conducted computational fluid dynamics calculations, and set up test vessel instrumentation. Sara also worked on a High Efficiency Propulsion System research project, developing a ship simulation model and a 2D panel code tool for propeller blade shape optimization.
In 2021, Sara joined WunderHexicon as a Naval Architect, collaborating on the development of the Hexicon multi-turbine platform for the floating offshore wind turbine industry. Sara'sresponsibilities included stability analysis, dynamic analysis using Orcaflex software, and mooring system analysis and optimization. Sara worked in this role until February 2023.
Currently, Sara is working at X1 Wind as a Naval and Simulation Engineer starting in March 2023. No end date is provided for this role.
Sara Uceda attended the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a degree in Naval and Ocean Engineering. In 2014, they pursued further education at the Instituto Superior Técnico, completing a Master's program in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in 2015. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, they studied at UPC School (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), specializing in Naval Technical Engineering with a focus on Ship Propulsion and Services.
