Configuration Manager at X3M Systems

Jordan Rice has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jordan'smost recent position was as a Project Support Specialist at X3M Systems, where they provided support to the Near Space Network (NSN) project manager. Jordan led the NSN continuous risk management process, administered internal pulse polls, and implemented action plan items based on feedback.

Prior to that, Jordan worked as a Science Educator at Science City from 2019 to 2021, where they engaged in science education activities. Jordan also gained experience as a Science Writing Intern at Fermilab in 2018 and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Boston University from 2017 to 2018.

In 2017, Jordan interned at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in the role of Journalism, Multimedia, Social Media Intern. Jordan also held the position of Senior Team Lead at Carthage College RockSat-C & RockSat-X Program from 2014 to 2017, where they designed research payloads, performed quality checks, and oversaw drafters.

Additionally, Jordan worked as a Teaching Assistant at Carthage College from 2014 to 2017 and as a Student Science Writer at Astronomy Magazine in 2016. Jordan also completed internships at AMC (Appalachian Mountain Club) and Carthage Astronomy in 2015 and at Science City At Union Station in 2014, where they gained teaching and internship experience, respectively.

Jordan Rice earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Carthage College, where they attended from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Lee's Summit High School from 2009 to 2013. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Science Journalism at Boston University, which they completed from 2017 to 2018.
