Tony Spear-Alfonso has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with a focus on quality control. Tony currently works at X4 Pharmaceuticals as the Associate Director, CMC Quality Control, where they collaborate with external vendors to ensure analytical methods are qualified for commercial processes. Prior to this, Tony held roles at Lykan Bioscience, Kaleido Biosciences, New England Biolabs, Genzyme sanofi, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Tufts University, Wyeth Biotech, Formatech Inc., and Organogenesis. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in managing lab operations, overseeing quality improvements, performing QC tests, developing quality control laboratories, and implementing quality control systems in accordance with cGMP compliance. Tony has extensive experience in a range of analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, gel electrophoresis, and spectrophotometry. Tony has also conducted research in areas such as signal-transduction, protein chemistry, protein expression, and tissue engineering. Tony's strong leadership and technical skills make him a valuable asset in the biopharmaceutical industry.
