Kentaro Toyama

Kentaro Toyama is a Professor at the University of Michigan since September 2014, with a rich background in technology and education. Previous roles include a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley, a Consultant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and a Lecturer at Ashesi University. Kentaro Toyama was also involved with the Technology Access Foundation as a TechStart Teacher/Volunteer and participated in NAKFI in 2015. As a Co-Founder and Assistant Managing Director at Microsoft Research India, Kentaro Toyama contributed significantly to research in technology. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from Yale University and an AB in Physics from Harvard University.
