Vladimir Salakhutdinov

Vladimir Salakhutdinov is the current Director of Strategy and Business Development at X5 Retail Group. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy CEO at Russian Post from January 2014 to April 2019. During their time there, they led the establishment of Postal Bank and successfully turned around the declining postal financial service business. Vladimir also launched a mobile terminal program which made the postal financial services accessible at home for millions of customers. From April 2011 to January 2014, Vladimir was the CEO at American Express Bank LLC and Country Manager for Russia. Vladimir was responsible for building a corporate expense management business that served major Fortune 500 global companies present in Russia. Additionally, they established an American Express Payment System Operator with operational, clearing and settlement infrastructure. From February 2009 to April 2011, Vladimir served as President for Eastern Europe and CIS at Net1 Universal Technologies (Austria) A.G. And from September 2002 to February 2009, they were VP & Executive Director and Operations Director for Eastern Europe at Western Union.

Vladimir Salakhutdinov has an Executive MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute).
