Roman Grachev

Roman Grachev is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Head of Ads Engineering at xAI since May 2025. Previously, Roman held significant roles at Microsoft from January 2013 to May 2025, including Director of Applied Science for Advertiser Copilot, where leadership focused on developing an AI assistant for campaign management, and Principal Engineering Manager overseeing Bing Image Search relevance. At Snap Inc. from August 2018 to December 2023, Roman was the Director of Engineering for Ad Ranking/Marketplace and AI Platform, managing a large team and spearheading critical advertising technologies. Earlier, Roman contributed to Pinterest as a Senior Manager in both Ad Ranking and Growth, emphasizing response prediction modeling and user acquisition strategies. Roman holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
