Blair Morrison

Head of Photonic Integration at Xanadu

Blair Morrison has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Summer Research Scholar at the Australian National University. In 2011, they joined Dyesol as a Research and Development Technician, where they contributed to the development of new materials for Dye Solar Cells and implemented improved measurement procedures. Starting in 2013, Blair pursued a PhD at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Ultrahigh bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems (CUDOS) at the University of Sydney. Their research focused on utilizing Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in integrated systems for radio frequency signal processing. In 2018, Blair transitioned to Xanadu, where they initially worked as a Physicist until 2019. They later became the Integration Team Lead and ultimately took on the role of Head of Photonic Integration, which they currently hold.

Blair Morrison obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from The Australian National University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at the University of Sydney from 2013 to 2017.
