Elliott Ortmann

Elliott Ortmann has a diverse work experience in the field of photonics and research. Elliott has held the position of Sr. Photonics Process Engineer at Xanadu since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. R&D Engineer at PsiQuantum from June 2021 to March 2023, and as an R&D Engineer from May 2019 to May 2021. Elliott also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2013 to May 2019. Elliott Ortmann has also worked as a Visiting Scientist at IBM Research - Zurich, from April to June 2018 and from October 2016 to April 2017.

Elliott Ortmann pursued higher education, starting with obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from Tulane University. This educational journey took place from 2009 to 2013. Following this accomplishment, Elliott went on to attend The University of Texas at Austin, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics between 2013 and 2019.
