Ramon Gougis

Ramon Gougis has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Ramon began their career in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician 2nd Class, where they managed 30 personnel and saved the command approximately $52,000 in labor and material costs during various building refurbishment projects. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Math Tutor and Academic Support Assistant, providing tutelage and instruction in Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and Probability. In 2015, they worked at Eden Technology Services as a Tech Wizard and at Cisco Meraki as a Technical Support Engineer, providing telephone and email support to purchasers of Meraki security appliances, routers, switches, and wireless access points. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Larkin Street Youth Services as an IT Specialist and STEM Instructor, providing high-quality, front-line IT support, IT onboarding, and technical training to all members of the agency. Since 2019, they have been working at Xantrion as a Support Engineer II, performing user and group administration tasks, securing user accounts, and exercising email flow control.

Ramon Gougis obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Chicago between 2011 and 2014. Ramon also holds certifications from (ISC)\u00b2, CompTIA, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Cisco. These include a Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) obtained in September 2020, CompTIA Security+ obtained in April 2020, AWS Certified Developer \u2013 Associate obtained in December 2018, AWS Certified Solutions Architect \u2013 Associate obtained in November 2018, Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) obtained in June 2015, and CompTIA Network+ obtained in April 2015.
