Amy Overman, Ph.D., currently serves as the Dean of the College of Professional Sciences at Xavier University, overseeing a large academic community comprising over 1,000 undergraduate and 575 graduate students, along with 100 faculty and 36 staff members. Prior to this role, Amy Overman spent 17 years at Elon University, where responsibilities included Professor in the School of Psychology, Assistant Provost for Scholarship and Creative Activity, and Assistant Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. Additional experience includes serving as a peer evaluator for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and holding leadership roles in the North Carolina American Council on Education Women's Network. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in Neuroscience from Allegheny College.
