Dave Hyland

Dave Hyland is a seasoned academic and professional in finance and analytics, currently serving as the Director of Baseball Analytics and Professor of Finance & Sabermetrics at Xavier University since June 2004. Dave has held various academic positions, including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, and has been involved in several leadership roles, such as Board Member for the Florence Y'alls and Director for the D'Artganan Capital Fund, overseeing the Xavier Undergraduate Student Investment Fund. Additionally, Dave is a member of the Board of Directors for the Fund Evaluation Group and the Board of Advisors for Sterling Valuation Group. Previous experience includes an Assistant Professorship at the University of Texas - Arlington and roles at Owens Corning and Sterling Drug. Educationally, Dave holds a PhD in Finance from The Ohio State University, an M.S.M in Finance and Accounting from Purdue University, and a B.A. in Economics and Telecommunications from Indiana University.
