William Malzone

William Malzone has a diverse and extensive work experience. William began their career in the US Army, serving in various roles including Assistant Training Manager, Line Supervisor, Section Leader, and Geospatial Platoon Sergeant. During this time, they demonstrated leadership skills and successfully planned and executed training events.

After leaving the military, Malzone joined the 1st Aviation Brigade 1st Cavalry Division as a Section Leader. William then worked for the 123rd Engineer Detachment as a Line Supervisor.

Malzone's career then took him to the 70th Engineer Company, where they served as a GIS Lead in the Military Counter IED Operations Cell. William developed predictive analysis tools to target IED areas, reducing fatalities and successfully planned and executed major training events.

William later joined the 5th Geospatial Planning Cell in the US Army as the Geospatial Production Director, overseeing geospatial intelligence analysis.

After leaving the military, Malzone joined L-3 Communication as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst.

Currently, Malzone holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at XTS - Xcellent Technology Solutions. In this role, they focus on customer satisfaction, employee care, and aligns resources with company vision. William has successfully lowered overhead rates and plays a key role in business development and relationship building with government agencies and industry partners. William also previously served as a Program Manager and Project Manager at XTS, demonstrating expertise in growing programs and overseeing project delivery.

Overall, Malzone brings a wealth of leadership, geospatial intelligence, and project management experience to their current role as Chief Operating Officer.

William Malzone completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Virginia Tech from 2015-2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2009-2013. William also obtained an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2009-2011. Additionally, William Malzone holds certifications in Geospatial Intelligence from the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency in 2007 and 2003. William also received a certificate in Military and Strategic Leadership from the US Army, PACOM in 2001, and a certification as a Geospatial Analyst from the National Imagery and Mapping Agency in 2000. Furthermore, William Malzone has obtained several additional certifications, including ITIL v3 Foundations in 2018, Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2015, Certified Scrum Master in 2014, and Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt in 2013.
