Rikke Højen

Rikke Højen has a diverse and extensive work experience. Rikke started their career in 2008 as a Voluntary consultant at Århus Retshjælp, where they provided advice to citizens on various legal matters. In 2009, they worked as a Customer Service Assistant at Dansk Supermarked before becoming a Student Worker at Hjulmand & Kaptain, where they worked until 2010.

In 2010, Rikke joined Advokatfirmaet Kühnel Kringelbach as an Assistant Attorney, where they gained experience in corporate and commercial law, including court proceedings. Rikke also worked as a Student Worker at the same firm.

Rikke then moved to BAE Systems Applied Intelligence in 2013, where they initially worked as a Legal Executive and later became a Legal Counsel. In this role, they handled complex international commercial contracts and provided legal advice to the management team.

Rikke joined Forsvarsministeriet in 2018 as a Fuldmægtig/konstitueret sektionschef for udbudssektionen. Here, they managed public tenders, provided legal advice, and handled disputes. In the same year, they also worked as a Legal Counsel at Bladt Industries A/S, where they provided legal advice, reviewed and negotiated international contracts, and supported business strategy.

In 2019, Rikke became the Head of Legal and Compliance at Det Nordjyske Mediehus, where they drafted and negotiated various contracts with customers, suppliers, and other cooperating parties.

Currently, Rikke is the Head of Legal at XCI A/S, a position they have held since 2022.

Rikke Højen's education history is as follows:

- From 2005 to 2007, Rikke attended the University of Copenhagen and obtained a Bachelor's degree in law.

- In 2010, Rikke enrolled in Advokatsamfundet, where they completed an education program and became a Danish Qualified Lawyer specializing in law. This program concluded in 2014.

- In 2017, Rikke attended PLESNER for a Data Protection Law Certificate, focusing on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

- In 2014, Rikke completed the Certificate in Commercial Contract Drafting from Central Law Training Ltd, which covered English law.

- From 2007 to 2010, Rikke pursued a Master's degree in law at Aarhus University.

- In 2001 to 2004, Rikke attended Aalborg Handelsskole, where they obtained an HHX, a business degree.

Additionally, Rikke has acquired the following certifications:

- Rikke has completed the PLESNER Data Protection Law Certificate.

Rikke has also participated in training seminars and programs such as the FIDIC Matrix Seminar and the Bestyrelsesuddannelsen for mindre, mellemstore og ejerledede virksomheder (MMV) program at Copenhagen Business School.
