Rune Ettrup

Rune Ettrup is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in software development and architecture roles. Currently serving as DevOps Team Lead at XCI since August 2025, Rune previously held the position of Managing Architect at Netcompany from February 2017 to July 2025, where responsibilities included designing a scalable and secure cloud solution for Norlys, a major player in Denmark's energy and telecommunications sector. Prior experience encompasses roles as Senior Architect at TDC, where solutions architecture was defined in collaboration with stakeholders, and as a Consultant for Top-Toy, developing a robust e-commerce platform under a tight deadline. Earlier career highlights include software development positions at Combine and Aalborg University, and leadership as Head of IT at dantoy a/s, where IT infrastructure was optimized. Rune holds a Master's degree in Software Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Aalborg University.
