Michael Kocher

Michael Kocher is the current CEO of Xellia Pharmaceuticals, having taken on this role in October 2023. Previously, Michael served as the Sandoz Country President for Austria and held several positions within Sandoz, including Chief Commercial Officer and Global President of the B2B Business, from February 2012 to October 2023. Michael’s extensive experience includes leadership roles at Novartis as Chief Executive Officer of Novartis Austria GmbH and Novartis Country President for Austria from June 2018 to October 2023. Additionally, Michael has served on the boards of Rowex Ltd. and Austria HBHG Pharma GmbH, where Michael was the Chairman Of The Board Of Directors. Michael's earlier career highlights include senior positions at Symrise and Firmenich, along with a background in product development and category management at Reckitt Benckiser. Michael holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and a Master’s degree in Marketing and Economics from the University of Basel, Switzerland.
