Bharat Rajghatta

Bharat Rajghatta (BR) graduated with a B.S., in Engineering from Bangalore University and an MBA., from Michigan Technological University/University Of Toledo. He has over 20 years of experience working in Engineering, Program Management, Business Development and Strategic Planning in the Automotive Industry. BR was involved in the launch of the Ford F-150 Electric Modular Hybrid Transmission. He worked with Hitachi Engineering to finalize technical specifications (mechanical, chemical, electrical and thermal ) for the magnet wire used in the electric motor. Worked with manufacturing and quality control in deploying a smart (AI) accelerometer to monitor surface defects. At Navistar International, he managed a team of engineers in developing truck - frame, fuel, brake, steering, engine, cooling, exhaust, transmission, clutch, axles and suspension sub-systems for new global programs. Oversaw concepts, prototypes, detailed design, validation, homologation and launch of new heavy duty trucks. Successfully launched the Caterpillar-610 (Class-8) in Australia and DuraStar (Class-6) in Brazil. At Dana Corp., he successfully launched the Jeep Wrangler Axles and set up a new facility in India to manufacture axles for the Tata Ace light truck. In his free time, BR enjoys biking and tennis.
