Majid Gomainy

Majid Gomainy is originally from Iran and resides in Turkey (Ankara) since 2008. He serves as a Professor at the University of the People since 2016. Majid has 18 years of teaching experience in several Universities and in different countries. He has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Master’s Degree in Software Engineering and is currently completing his Ph.D. Majid has published five books in the programming field and many papers in national Journals on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application, with extensive experience in Intelligent Systems, Neural Networks, and Machine Learning. He has been a professional in the information technology (IT) industry for the past 20 years and had worked as a software department manager. Majid has had the experience of many roles including programmer, system analyst, project manager, and most recently as a researcher in the R&D department of the Complex Dynamics Group (CDG) at Middle East Technical University (METU).
