Herman van Antwerpen

Herman Van Antwerpen is a highly experienced engineer specializing in thermal fluid systems and nuclear engineering, currently serving as a Technical Fellow at X-energy since February 2018, where responsibilities include leading the Xe-100 Analysis Group and managing multidisciplinary analyses for advanced reactor designs. Prior to this, Herman held various roles at Flownex Simulation Environment and M-Tech Industrial, focusing on thermal fluid system analysis and control system simulation, including significant projects in gas-cooled nuclear reactors and heat recovery systems. With a strong educational background, holding a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Nuclear) from North-West University, Herman has contributed to the industry through extensive technical expertise and leadership in engineering analyses.
