Nicolas Quintanar

Nicolas Quintanar serves as the Lead of Plant Controls and Automation at X-energy since July 2021, focusing on the development of Electrical Instrumentation and Control solutions for various advanced nuclear power systems. Previously, Nicolas held the position of Senior Analyst in Nuclear Systems Thermodynamics, responsible for steady state and transient simulations of nuclear reactors. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Scientist & Engineer at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, where data collection from the naval nuclear fleet was carried out, and as Senior R&D Engineer at Halliburton, contributing to automation and controls technology. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics from Manchester University.
