Sheila Thurston

Sheila Thurston has extensive experience in project management and engineering within the nuclear sector, currently serving as a Senior Project Manager and Analysis Software Delivery Manager at X-energy since September 2021. Prior to this role, Sheila was a Project Engineer at Bechtel National Inc, where responsibilities included equipment delivery coordination and engineering oversight. Sheila's long tenure at Bechtel Power from June 1993 to February 2019 included roles such as Lead I&C Engineer/Project Engineer, Engineering Group Supervisor, Senior Control Systems Engineer, and Control Systems Engineer, focusing on I&C engineering design and team supervision for nuclear plant upgrades. Sheila holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, earned between 1988 and 2003.
