Matthew Devine

Matthew Devine has extensive work experience in the legal field. Matthew started their career as an Associate Attorney at Burr & Forman LLP in September 2012 and worked there until February 2016. In this role, they focused on commercial real estate, finance, corporate, and public finance work. Matthew provided counsel to lenders, developers, investors, and other parties involved in various transactional matters, including real estate financing, property acquisition and disposition, and commercial real estate leasing. Matthew also had responsibilities related to contract negotiation and drafting, entity formation, and corporate governance.

After leaving Burr & Forman LLP, Matthew joined Xenia Hotels & Resorts, Inc. in February 2016 as an Associate Counsel. Matthew worked in this role until February 2019, during which they had a significant impact on legal matters within the company. In February 2019, they were promoted to the position of Senior Counsel, furthering their responsibilities and contribution. Currently, they hold the position of VP - Senior Counsel at Xenia Hotels & Resorts, Inc., which they assumed in February 2022. Matthew continues to excel in providing legal guidance and leadership in their current role.

Matthew Devine has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Florida State University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2008. Matthew then pursued their Juris Doctor degree at Florida State University College of Law from 2009 to 2012. Lastly, they completed a Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management Certificate at Cornell University, which will be completed in 2022.
