Filip Geuens

Filip Geuens has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the technology and engineering industry. Filip is currently the CEO of XENOMATIX, a high-tech company specializing in vision solutions for automotive applications. In this role, Filip is focused on developing technology that allows cars to understand and navigate their environment.

Prior to their current position, Filip worked as the Managing Director of FilGoed, offering management services to small and medium-sized companies. With over 40 years of experience, FilGoed specializes in general management, technical management, legal advice, real estate, company transformation, start-up guidance, and vision creation.

Before joining FilGoed, Filip served as the CTO of Nikon Metrology, where they led the worldwide research and development team. Filip also managed the IT team, co-managed the Quality team, and was a member of the Executive team. During their time at Nikon Metrology, Filip worked with engineers around the world, focusing on pushing the limits of advanced 3D optical metrology techniques.

Prior to Nikon Metrology, Filip held the position of VP Engineering at Metris. During their time at Metris, they played a crucial role in the company's acquisitions and growth. Filip'sresponsibilities expanded from local engineering management to worldwide R&D management, with a focus on integrating new technology and development teams in a rapidly changing company.

Filip began their career at Krypton, a small innovative company where they started as an application engineer and eventually became the COO. In this role, they managed application development and the production team, with a focus on building advanced optical metrology systems.

Filip Geuens began their education in 1988 at KULeuven, where they studied mechatronics, robotics, and automation engineering. Filip completed their degree in mechanical engineering in 1993. In 2000, they returned to KULeuven to pursue a postgraduate degree in operations management.
