Hekla Alite

Hekla Alite is an experienced professional in the field of drug substance development and manufacturing, currently serving as Senior Manager for CMC, Drug Substance at Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. since January 2023. Previous positions include Senior Scientist roles at Pfizer and Arena Pharmaceuticals, where significant contributions included leading drug substance projects, managing CRO/CMO teams, and authoring CMC sections for INDs. Hekla has a history of developing and scaling up processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients, and has played key roles in regulatory compliance and risk assessment initiatives. Hekla holds a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Boston College and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biology from Monmouth University.
