Sammy Duncan

Sammy Duncan is a seasoned professional in the field of process chemistry with extensive experience in pharmaceutical development. Currently serving as Senior Principal Scientist at Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. since October 2021, Sammy leads the In-House Process Chemistry team overseeing both early and late-stage process development and technology transfer to contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs). Prior to this role, Sammy spent nearly two decades at Apotex Pharmachem Inc., where responsibilities included leading process R&D project teams, optimizing production processes, and contributing to numerous process patents. Sammy holds a Master’s degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Regina and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
