Vruti Patel, PharmD, BCMAS has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Vruti began their career in 2015 with clinical rotations in specialties such as cardiology at Advocate Christ Medical Center, specialty infusion services at Option Care Health, and endocrinology/respiratory at JOHN F KENNEDY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. In 2014, they joined Walgreens as a pharmacy intern and later progressed to become a clinical pharmacist from 2016 to 2018. At Walgreens Boots Alliance, Vruti took on various roles including change management leader, COVID-19 Task Force member, and manager of pharmacy and retail operations. Their responsibilities included Rx renewal, immunizations/vaccines, and ensuring operational efficiency. Currently, Vruti is working as Regional Medical Affairs Director at Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where they contribute to medical affairs strategy and support.

Vruti Patel, PharmD, BCMAS obtained their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis. Vruti also holds additional certifications such as the Board Certified Medical Affairs Specialist (BCMAS) from the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA) and the Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) certification from the same institution. Furthermore, they have completed various professional development courses including "Accelerating Your Career with Personal Branding," "How to Master Your Executive Presence," "Executive Leadership," and "Speaking Confidently and Effectively" from LinkedIn. Patel has also acquired certifications in patient-centered care and immunization delivery from Walgreens Boots Alliance and the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, respectively. Vruti holds a pharmacy intern license from the Missouri Board of Pharmacy and a pharmacy technician student license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Additionally, they have completed the IV Aseptic Technique Certificate from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and holds an American Red Cross Adult CPR Certificate. Lastly, Patel has a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from Walgreens.
