Mirlanda Gecaj

VP, Chief Accounting Officer at Xerox

Mirlanda Gecaj was named Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for Xerox effective May 2022.

Mirlanda is responsible for Xerox’s worldwide books of account, financial reporting, including finance systems, accounting activities transformation, Sarbanes Oxley financial compliance processes, audit coordination activities and finance training. She is the interface with the company’s auditors and maintains, develops and interprets accounting policies.

Prior to this appointment, Mirlanda was the Vice President, Global Shared Service Strategy at Element Solutions Inc., from March 2019 to April 2022, where she served as a key member of the senior executive team by providing strategic input in shaping the finance organization. In this role, Mirlanda was responsible for the re-design of Global Shared Services across all regions, established best practices and implemented process standardization, automation and ERP configuration. Previously, Mirlanda led the Internal Audit department from January 2017 to March 2019, reporting directly to the Audit Committee providing strategic insights in relation of risks facing the company and ways to mitigate them.

Before joining Element Solutions in 2016, she was a senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mirlanda served as the audit lead of the accounting advisory services for multi-national public companies, advised on Mergers, IPOs and other capital market transactions, completed a two-year rotation in the SEC Services group within Firm's National Office, authored material and published/updated PwC guidance and accounting research tools.

Mirlanda earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting degree from Mercy College as well as Bachelor of Science in business administration degree from the University of Tirana, Albania. She is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of New York and Connecticut.
